As one of its core activities to support technical progress and awareness building in this area, the SolarPACES conference, initiated in 1980, is the foremost symposium for the who's who in concentrating solar power and chemical energy systems, offering a forum for research, industry, politics and financing stakeholders within the framework of a scientific conference program with leading world experts.

The 2nd workshop within the RAISELIFE project takes place on Thursday, 28 November in Düsseldorf, Germany.

2018 demonstrated a decline in CSP costs (26% reduction) and a rise in capacity factors (up to 45%).

CSP-ERA.NET Cofund launched its Joint Call in CSP on 7 October 2019. 8 countries and regions participate in this call: Germany and North-Rhine-Westphalia, Greece, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey.

The total public funding budget is 13 million euros, covering topics in concentrating solar power (CSP). Innovative project proposals are sought on transnational level between different European countries strengthening the competitive position of the European solar power industry. Preproposals have to be submitted not later than 10 January 2020.
